If you throw light things like cold drink cap in the valley, it comes up again due to air pressure. From Arthur's Seat Point, one can see picturesque vista having Konkan on one side and Desh (Deccan) on the other.
This point is named after Arthur Malet who lost his wife and 1 month old daughter in a tragic ferry accident in Savitri River.

Key attractions : Old Mahabaleshwar, also known as Kshetra Mahabaleshwar, has 3 temples: Panchganga temple, Mahabaleshwar temple and Krishna temple. It is believed that five rivers (Krishna, Venna, Savitri, Koyna and Gayatri) originate from gaumukhi inside Panchganaga temple. Panchganga temple was constructed in the 13th century by Yadava King Singhandeo. Mahabaleshwar Temple is built in 1215 AD as per historical records. 10. Pratapgad
Pratapgad

Key attractions : Pratapgad fort is definitely a must-see tourist attraction for tourists. Mahabaleshwar trip would be a little monotonous without Pratapgad. Pratapgad is one of three most famous forts of Shivaji Maharaj (other two being Raigad and Rajgad). In famous Battle of Pratapgad, Shivaji Maharaj killed Afzal Khan and defeated his army despite being outnumbered. Pratapgad is privately owned by Chhatrapati Udayan Raje Bhosale who is descendant of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. Pratpgad used to host Diwan-e-Khas (meeting of ministers) during the time of Shivaji Maharaj. Pratapgad fort was built by Shivaji Maharaj in the period 1656 to 1659.

Key attractions : Table Land, at 4,550 ft above sea level, is the highest point in Panchgani. This volcanic platue is Asia's second longest mountain plateau after tibetan platue. Table Land is popular bollywood shooting spot. Many movies like Raja Hindustani, Mela, Taare Jameen Par, Hum Tumhare Hain Sanam (and many more) are shot at this place. The Pandavas footprints is one of the famous tourist spot on table land. As per mythology, Pandavas had stayed here for a while and used Devil's Kitchen place as kitchen.
