If you throw light things like cold drink cap in the valley, it comes up again due to air pressure. From Arthur's Seat Point, one can see picturesque vista having Konkan on one side and Desh (Deccan) on the other.
This point is named after Arthur Malet who lost his wife and 1 month old daughter in a tragic ferry accident in Savitri River.

Key attractions : Old Mahabaleshwar, also known as Kshetra Mahabaleshwar, has 3 temples: Panchganga temple, Mahabaleshwar temple and Krishna temple. It is believed that five rivers (Krishna, Venna, Savitri, Koyna and Gayatri) originate from gaumukhi inside Panchganaga temple. Panchganga temple was constructed in the 13th century by Yadava King Singhandeo. Mahabaleshwar Temple is built in 1215 AD as per historical records.
